A theoretical-practical path aimed at teachers of lower secondary school, which explores how bacterial and non-bacterial cell cultures can be influenced by the use of antibiotics and probiotics, with a special focus on educational applications in the school environment. Through simple and replicable experiments in the classroom, course participants will delve into the role of microorganisms in biotechnological research, health and the agri-food industry. The practical part session will guide teachers in the preparation and observation of microbial cultures and in the analysis of the effects of easily available drugs and antimicrobials, providing useful tools to bring biotechnology to the classroom with engaging and safe activities.
